Jourès is a happy concept store for new and trendy parents who are looking for cute and functional products to make life a little easier and a little funnier!

Aurélie Sauthier, founder of Jourès (she works with her two sisters, Sophie and Léa Sauthier), told me she wanted to create a brand that would be fun for parents. She is herself the mother of twins and doesn’t subscribe to the idea that you have to forget everything about what makes you stylish and cool once you have kids. Of course, all the products she planned in having in the store had to meet her high standards but she also wanted to put a smile on people’s faces with the communication and the brand she was preparing to launch (translation: a funny but reliable brand).

Needless to say, I absolutely loved working on this project. Clients with vision and a great personality? Yes, please!

Social Media

Social media was very important for Jourès. We worked on several visual assets that could easily be replicated by the in-house creative team. We opted for a mix of very colourful posts that would incorporate pop culture references (quotes and tv/film snippets) and shop references. The tricky part was that, as a concept store, Jourès wouldn’t always be able to take their own photographs of the products they would eventually sell so I imagined 2 formats that would make any product fit seamlessly in the Jourès graphic universe.

Project Scope

As a designer, it is sometimes hard to accurately demonstrate the entire scope of the work I do. There’s the visual part but also a lot of behind-the-scenes. To try to be as precise as possible, I added a detailed breakdown of the work I have done on each project at the bottom of each page.

  • I worked closely with the founder of the brand to conceptualize and design the visual identity system.

  • I designed templates and provided an Instagram feed overview to make sure the in-house team could easily take over.

The main challenge with this part was so design templates that could harmoniously present products from different sources with different photographic styles while preserving the Jourès visual identity.
